Rutherford, CA | In 1970, Bill Godward came across a tranquil, idyllic ten-acre parcel on a gentle downslope on the Rutherford Bench. He replanted it to Cabernet Sauvignon in 2002 with the help of fourth-generation winegrower Gary Morisoli. Godward Vineyard is known as one of the standout vineyards in Rutherford.

Bill passed away in 2019 at the age of 105, leaving the vineyard to his daughter, Jennifer Trainor, and her family. The family is dedicated to continuing Bill’s stewardship in Godward Vineyard.
